Hello lovelies!
Now that I’ve settled into Sin City, I have the mental clarity to crank out the bazillion product reviews and demos I’ve left sitting on the back burner. Many moons ago I received the complete line of Lotus Moon Skincare, and many of Plain Jane Beauty
’s product offerings. Both lines are extremely impressive! Today’s product spotlight will be the first of many, so be sure to follow my site by clicking the ‘follow’ button in the sidebar to receive notifications via email each time I post.
What It Is
The Lotus Moon Tonic Minerals Facial Toner is designed to restore pH balance and promote cell repair. Regular use of alcohol-free toners will balance your natural oil secretion and cleanse pores by lifting any accumulated face gunk. This allows for better absorption of other skincare products, a shine-free T-zone and a smoother application of cosmetics. This particular mineral-rich blend of essential oils and plant extracts is vegan and gluten-free, and crafted in the United States.
Who It’s For
The Lotus Moon Tonic Minerals Facial Toner is ideal for all skin types and claims to combat signs of aging and sun damage by protecting against free radicals.

How I Use
I use this toner once a day after cleansing my face with the Lotus Moon Mineral Earth Cleansing Gel. I simply close my eyes and spray the toner directly on my face before wiping the access with a cotton pad or gentle cloth. The directions on the product suggest using this product twice daily (again before bed), but I find once is enough for my skin’s needs.
What’s Inside
Aloe barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Leaf Juice, Lavendula angustifolia (Organic Lavender) Extract, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Ascophyllum nodosum (Organic Kelp) Extract, Aphanizomenon Flos Aquae (Organic Blue Green Algae) Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Chloride (Dead Sea Salt), Polysorbate 20, Essential oils of Mentha spicata (Spearmint), Lavandula officinalis (Lavender), Zinziber officinale (Ginger Fresh), Ravensara aromatica (Ravensara), Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Cinnamon Leaf), Cymbopogon flexuosus (Lemongrass), Helichrysum itallicum (Helichrysum), Anthemis nobilis (Roman Chamomile)
Hyawhat?! Polywho?!
- Hyaluronic acid is a strong humectant (reduces moisture loss) designed to smooth and soften skin. Retaining water in the skin is important in the fight against wrinkles and rough, uncooperative skin. Acids don’t sound like anything you’d want on your skin, but this isn’t a regular acid. It’s a cool acid.
- Polysorbate 20 is derived from Lauric Acid and commonly used in skincare and cosmetic products as a surfactant, emulsifier, and/or fragrance. When mixing essential or fragrance oils into a spray, a solubilizer like Polysorbate 20 is added to ensure the oils do not separate. It is water-soluble, gentle and doesn’t irritate the skin.
My Personal Experience
This toner cools and refreshes, and provides the pick-me-up I need when getting ready in the morning. I use this toner in combination with the Lotus Moon Mineral Earth Cleansing Gel and have noticed a decrease in pore size on my nose and cheeks, less oil chilling in my T-zone, and easier makeup application. The texture of my skin has improved so much so that I find myself leaving the house without foundation much more often. Unlike many toners on the market, the Lotus Moon Tonic Minerals Facial Toner
is alcohol-free and doesn’t dry my skin. Nice!
