Happy Monday lovelies!
I have fallen behind on my daily blogging goal, but I’m jumping back on the horse today with a belated unboxing post. I subscribed to the Green Beauty for Us quarterly subscription box to support fellow green beauty and wellness blogger Keisha Adinkra, and to expand my horizons on non-toxic beauty and wellness products that cater to women of color. Last week I received the Revive Your Glow Spring Box and wanted to show you the goodies. Le’go.
Zandra Beauty Almond Alfresco Soap Bar ($8-$12 Value)
I am a big fan of plant-based artisan soap. Follow Zandra on Instagram.
Nude Acacia Beauty Bar The Goddess Face Mask ($8 Value)
I predict a masking selfie will emerge on the ‘gram in the near future. Stay tuned.
MOVE Make Up Vegan “Burn Deep” Mineral Blush ($12 Value)
This line of makeup is designed for “women who sweat.” I plan to try their natural foundation soon to see if it can withstand a summer in Las Vegas. Visit MOVE Makeup on Instagram.
CDF Skin Care Bamboo Face Scrub ($11 Value)
I’m really ecstatic to try a product from the CDF Skin Care line. This brand has been on my radar for quite some time. Stay tuned. Follow CDF Skin Care on Instagram.
All Things O’ Natural Rose + Hibiscus Toning Mist ($13 Value)

Brown Leaf Cosmetics “Sugar Cookie” Highlighter w/ Compact ($18 Value)
I’m super bummed that it arrived broken, but it still looks so beautiful. I’ll make it work and throw together a look this week! Follow Brown Leaf Cosmetics on Instagram.
Natural Annie Essentials Turmeric Glow Face Mask
I love a good DIY clay-based face mask, and turmeric is well known for its skin-healing properties. I’m looking forward to my weekly masking session with this product from the Island Vibes Collection. Follow Natural Annie Essentials on Instagram.
Green Aventurine Healing Stone (Retail Price $12)
The holistic wellness focus for this quarter’s box was the Heart Chakra, the fourth chakra that sits in the center of the chest. According to the info card, Green Aventurine is a stone of opportunity and change. I’ve never been into crystals, but my mind is open to the possibility that much like plants, there are stones and natural elements designed to heal us. Crystals have opened the door to spiritual and mental damage for some of my peers, so my advice is to do your homework. This is the same advice I’d give about essential oils, herbal medicine, and ritualistic health practices, so please do not write this off as fear mongering. Wellness requires wisdom, so tread softly down unfamiliar roads.
So there you have it! I’d say the $40 quarterly price tag is more than justified for the size, quality and quantity of items you receive. Be sure to follow the Green Beauty for Us founder Keisha on Instagram, watch her YouTube videos, and support her online and offline contributions to the growing green beauty community. Well done, Keisha!
Be well.
