Happy Wednesday lovelies!
I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids in 2013 and had a painful reminder of their presence again in 2017. Since that time I’ve learned so much about hormonal imbalance, the importance of a plant-based diet, and the environmental and emotional stressors that affect the womb.
I was shocked to learn the connection between various vaginal issues and the toxic chemicals found in feminine care products. My first period began at age 10, so I can only imagine the harm I’ve caused unintentionally by purchasing bleached and scented sanitary napkins.
A friend of mine introduced me to The Honey Pot Company – a plant-based cruelty-free feminine care line with products free of parabens, sulfates, and fragrance. The Honey Pot Company carries regular, every day, and overnight herbal pads, and non-toxic feminine wash, wipes, and liners. The packaging is cute and playful and color-coordinated based on normal, sensitive, and mommy-to-be products.
The product slogan, “Made by humans with vaginas for humans with vaginas,” is very inclusive.
I love the product slogan because it captures the community of people with vaginas who do not identify as female. I have an unapologetic bias when it comes to the importance of choosing words wisely! Language is so important.
I purchased the Normal Wash and the Regular Herbal Pack with Wings. The price point was pretty much identical to the Kotex brand that I’ve used for decades, which made the switch that much easier.
The Honey Pot Company products are available at Target, Whole Foods, and other retailers. Visit them online and check them out on Instagram. Your vagina will thank you.
I am also venturing into the world of vaginal steaming and learning more about yoni eggs and vaginal detox pearls. I will share more information along the way.
