Today I satisfied my sweet tooth.

I had my first bite of Crumbl Cookies in 2020 when I was pregnant with Aevrie. I lived close to the UNLV location at the time, and thought the shop was so cute. I loved the concept, a rotating menu of fresh baked cookies available for pick-up or delivery. To this day, I think of Crumbl every time I’m in the mood for something sweet. Today I ordered curbside delivery from Crumbl’s Durango location using the Crumbl app. The app knows everything about me, which is both terrifying and exciting.

Each week, 4 different cookie flavors hit the menu. Milk Chocolate Chip and Chilled Sugar are always available (and really good), but it’s always exciting to see what new flavors are released. This week I tried the Churro and Berry Crunch flavors for the first time. My mom tried the German Chocolate Cake.

What I love most about Crumbl is every cookie tastes exactly as the name describes. Churro tastes exactly like the warm, cinnamony churros I ate in the car while waiting at the US-Mexico border three years ago.

Berry Crunch was my childhood in cookie form, and reminded me of all the Saturday mornings I spent in front of the TV with my bowl of cereal watching cartoons in my underwear.

My all-time favorite Crumbl cookie flavor is S’mores Brownie, and I can’t wait for that flavor to return! S’mores Brownie is a chocolate and graham cracker cookie filled with chocolate chips and topped with marshmallow creme and graham cracker crumbs.

The S’mores Brownie is a direct flight back in time to Sunday nights in the ‘90s. My mom and I would go to church, eat comfort food at somebody’s restaurant, then make brownies in the evening after we woke up from our itis-induced “Sunday nap.” I discovered the magic of S’mores by the campfire at church camp, and I still enjoy making them at home in the summer months.

Today I satisfied my sweet tooth!
