Acting Natural At Bass Pro Shops Garland

I’m a simple person. When I see Bass Pro Shops, I visit.

I don’t hunt. I don’t fish. I can’t swim. I’m an excellent shot (like scary good), but I don’t think Bass Pro Shops is where I’ll purchase my next gun. Driving past one isn’t an option, however. Your girl has to go in. It’s been that way for years, tickling me every time. My mom says it’s the Indiana in me.

Dallas Clouds Be Cloudin’

Dallas was a good friend yesterday, spoiling me with 75-degree temps and sunshine. Today she turned her back, giving me the 40-degree cold shoulder and blowing my hair every which way. That might be why a place like Bass Pro Shops appealed to me today. I got to enjoy the outdoors while Mother Nature was on one.

Artisan soaps. Hand-poured candles. Bears that won’t maul me and lake views minus mosquitos. Bass Pro Shops is everything I love about farmer’s markets and the wilderness without the inconvenience of wildlife and critter bites. And, I rarely feel inclined to buy anything, unlike at the farmers market where I’m dodging eye contact from an eager seller anxious to slather me in hand cream.

The turtle lounge was a treat for both my daughter and me.

Today’s mini adventure at Bass Pro Shops was the perfect pit stop between errands. My daughter left with a new stuffed fawn and new memories, and I got to go on a nature walk indoors. Winning.

Until soon.
