There’s something magical about sitting down to document life’s moments, both big and small.
Much has transpired since I last wrote. As autumn painted our world in warm hues, I’ve been busy discovering new rhythms and learning important lessons about what works for my little family.
“Life is a dance. All you need to do is find your rhythm.” ― Sandra Cooze

We caught early glimpses of autumn’s palette at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve.

We took a sweet little road trip to Mansfield.
The AndiMac Candy Shack filled our baskets with sweet treats, while the Man House Museum provided the perfect backdrop for impromptu photos. A quick stop at Flying Squirrel Coffee Company kept me caffeinated for the journey home.

Mid-October brought our first visit to the Fort Worth Zoo.
While my Fitbit celebrated hitting 10,000 steps, my daughter had to adjust her expectations – apparently, regular visits to petting farms had set a high bar for animal interaction!

Still, the goats saved the day by accepting her generous grooming services.

I discovered my new “Moonlight Beach” near White Rock Lake.
While it may not be the California coast I left behind in 2017, I stumbled upon a view that offers the same sacred space for reflection and peace that I once found at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Sometimes, settling into a new home isn’t about recreating the exact same place, but creating familiar feelings in a new space.

I’m focusing on gratitude and intentionality as we approach 2025.
Between voting, dressing up for Halloween with my googly-eyed orange monster (who thankfully abandoned her witchy aspirations), and cherishing visits from Indiana family, life has been full.

How will you shine your light?
As December beckons with festive possibilities, I’m taking inventory of what matters most. There’s something powerful about sharing less but feeling more, about choosing quality over quantity in both experiences and connections. How will you shine your light in the days ahead?
